Publications

Civic Trust Auckland is dedicated to recording and publicising all aspects of its work in a highly diverse field. Some of its members have written books on a range of subjects and we encourage all literary works, no matter how modest in size, or scope.

As an organisation, we have now reached a level of maturity where we are able to confidently progress a number of publications currently underway and plan others for the future.

23 Alten Road
The basic script for this building was intended for submission to Council and was completed in August 2006.

As most of the script is complete, this excellent work is now capable of being enlarged and modified to form the basis for a book. It is hoped that this can be completed in the near future.

Partington's Mill
The most generous bequest from Myrtle Miller has allowed a book to be prepared on the history of this sadly demolished landmark. Munroe Graham is well advanced in editing and enlarging the scope of this book for publication in the near future.

In the footsteps of Mataoho
Munroe Graham is at the early planning stage of a booklet on the Volcano God of Tamaki-makau-rau, which may be a collaborative venture, planned for late 2007 or 2008.

Eden Village
Munroe Graham is at the early planning stage of a booklet covering the development of Eden village and its heritage buildings, planned for 2007 or 2008.

Pamphlet
Now that head paper has been re-designed and the web site underway, it is time to re-design the folded A4 Civic Trust Auckland pamphlet for mailing to potential and existing members. This should be completed in early 2007.

Brochures
Civic Trust Auckland is in a good position to develop a number of street walk brochures for local authorities.

Calendars
Some thought is being given to the creation of various calendars reflecting the rich building heritage of the Auckland Region.
