This interesting museum is located in the old post office building, built in 1912 and closed in 1983. It is open Sundays 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm, staffed by dedicated volunteers from the Tuakau and Districts Historical Society. Note the domestic "early bungalow" building style.
Exhibits comprise some equipment from the Post Office itself, plus a fascinating range of Maori and early settler artefacts.
